Authentication and security

ASP.NET Core Identity and antiforgery cookies keep sessions and form submissions secure. These are necessary when you sign in or submit protected forms.

Anonymous contribution identifier

A pseudonymous identifier is stored for up to one year to help flag rapid duplicate cost reports and abuse. It is HttpOnly and is not used to build an advertising profile.

Optional analytics

If you accept analytics, StableMetric loads Ironmark Insights to help us understand page visits and how the site is used. The analytics script is not requested before consent. Your choice is stored in your browser's local storage so the site can remember it.

Advertising measurement

Featured brand impressions and outbound clicks are counted in aggregate. StableMetric does not use third-party advertising trackers.

Managing your choice

Use the Cookie settings button at the bottom of any page to accept or reject analytics. Rejecting after analytics has loaded refreshes the page without the tracker. Your browser can also remove or block cookies and local storage, though account sign-in and some forms may no longer work correctly.
